Helping You Shine Online

Hi! I’m a Denver area psychologist and I’m here to get you moving towards your goals and values. I love working with millenials, gen Z, and gen X who are experiencing tough life transitions and uncertainties like getting a new job or managing a job you hate, making new friends in a new city, and managing relationships (romantic and otherwise). I also specialize in Genito-Pelvic Pain/ Penetration Disorder, treating the psychological impact of pelvic pain. I work with people of many diagnoses including ADHD, autism, anxiety disorders, obsessive-compulsive disorders, depression, adjustment issues, and trauma disorders.

What do sessions look like?

Throughout the first few sessions, I explore the integration between your mental health, physical health, sleep, sex, exercise, eating, and your support systems to get a full picture of you. This assessment gives me a good idea of what your needs are and what direction we may head. After that, we collaboratively plan treatment (fun, right?!) to find out your goals and what you want to get from therapy. I like to challenge my clients and often the biggest growth happens when you seek discomfort. My go-to treatment is Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), but I will often use other treatments for my clients who have specialized needs. For example, I may use ERP for OCD, EMDR for complex trauma, CBT-I for insomnia, and DBT for emotion dysregulation/ interpersonal effectiveness issues.

Woah that’s a lot of acronyms! What do they mean?

Well, great question. Check out the linked articles for more information! We will also explore this question more in therapy for how it might look like for your given situation. Here is a little summary of my go-to: Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT, pronounced like the word). ACT involves looking at how your values guide who you are AND how to commit towards your most valued self. We will discuss how acceptance of uncontrollable things and mindfulness of the present moment are key in moving towards your values.

Can I actually see you, ya know, in person?

Sure! I spend part of my time in the Berkley neighborhood of Denver for in-person sessions, but i also provide telehealth services. I can do a mix of both too. I hope to also provide walk and talk sessions one day at a nearby park (in progress).

Do you take insurance?

I am credentialed under United, Aetna, and Kaiser currently. I accept self-pay as well for a $215/session fee. I will offer a sliding scale fee for those who want to work with me and have a need for lower cost sessions.
